“My imagery is abstract with specifically positioned, figurative elements. The lines could be read as Mandalas, continually threatening to overwhelm their borders. This means the painting cannot be approached in a rational manner. There is an initial turbulence which then ebbs away and allows for peace of mind where space is created for spontaneous insights to be revealed. Throughout the creative process and while painting, each painting acts as a mirror for me and the same applies to those who view my work.
